PROS Update
The PROS network continues to conduct large scale office based research studies
in pediatric practices throughout the
United
States
.
South
Carolina
pediatricians continue to be active in the network ensuring that our children are
well represented in these studies.
Current PROS Studies in the field in

Adolescent Smoking Cessation in Pediatric Primary Care (Smokebusters)
Secondary Sexual Characteristics in Boys Study (SSCIB)
Clinical Effort Against Secondhand Smoke Exposure (CEASE)
Studies which have completed data collection and are currently Analyzing Data and
producing Manuscripts:
Child Abuse Recognition Experience Study (CARES)
Child Behavior Study
Healthy Lifestyles Pilot Study
Reducing Immunization Disparities Study (RIDS)
Many other studies are currently in this phase as well.
Upcoming studies in the pipeline include:
Distributed Asthma Learning Initiative (DALI)
Projects targeting improved oral health and mental health services for children
are also in the development stage at this time.
There are opportunities available at all levels of the PROS network. We are always
